The Wembley NW01 scheme is a new, phased residential development of 474 apartments over seven blocks, located in Wembley, London.
Eight Versa is the Sustainability Consultant, Ecologist and Code for Sustainable Homes (Code) assessor for this large, high-profile scheme. Our primary responsibility is to ensure there is a robust strategy in place to guide the design team through the complex task of achieving Code assessment Level 4 for each dwelling. This has included producing the scheme’s overall Ecology Report and the Daylight Analysis for every dwelling.
Our flexible approach, multiple scenario-planning and risk strategy meant that Code Level 4 was achieved in the most cost-effective and practical way for such a large development with different compliance criteria for different dwelling types. An innovative feature of the design is a central energy centre, to be installed on the completion of the entire development, which earned additional assessment credits.
“Eight Versa has worked with SISK on two of our major projects at Wembley, the London Designer Outlet (£60m) and the North West Village apartments (£90m). They have provided us with excellent and proactive service from the early phases to completion. Their early input was particularly invaluable as through understanding the challenges of the environmental assessments we are able to amend the design early and prevent additional costs later in the process. The Eight Versa assessors are extremely professional, approachable and happy to get involved directly with the design team when necessary. We are looking forward to working with Eight Versa again in the future.”
